Shana Mosher (Urban Policy ’11 alumna) recently participated in the video clip: Republican Attack on Women’s Rights. Part 1, produced by WeApproveThisMessage, a group of independent Americans who have volunteered their time to help bring our country together.

 “The video goes to show that our voices do matter and when a group of concerned citizens come together, change is possible!”

Women of all ages explain how a Romney presidency would threaten their rights, their health, and their equality.  The video was picked up Move On and was then highlighted on the Rachel Maddow Show last week.  Shana says, “The video goes to show that our voices do matter and when a group of concerned citizens come together, change is possible!”

Lina Fedirko (Urban Policy ’12 alumna) conducted a consulting project for UN Habitat for her thesis, entailing a review of the effectiveness of Participatory Climate Change Assessment program in small towns of South-East Asia and the Pacific, as part of the flagship project of Climate Change and the Cities Initiative, UN-Habitat. Lina received an Honorable Mention Best Professional Decision Report Award for her work on this report from the Milano School.  She was recently notified that UN Habitat will be flying her to Seoul to present her thesis to their expert group!  Lina is currently working with two grassroots organizations that serve low-income communities in the Greater New York area.
