NinaRussia makes no shortage of headlines these days: countless on the situation in Ukraine, several more on the continued reign of Vladimir Putin, and a few—here and there—on the justification of sanctions.

Nina Khrushcheva, The New School’s resident expert on the political and cultural climate of Russia, is never too far from the action. The Associate Dean of the Milano School of International Affairs, Management and Urban Policy joined “Research Radio” early this month to discuss why Russia seems stuck in the past when it comes to diplomatic relations, as well as limitations to the country’s development in the 21st Century.
