Business Development Associate at One Acre Fund

With longtime interests in global food systems, Ross has worked in research, grant writing, and program management positions for a range of nonprofits dedicated to the environment, animal welfare, and international development. 

Version 3Academic Experience: The final project for the course “Food, Global Trade and Development,” co-taught by Professors Sakiko Fukuda-Parr and Fabio Parasecoli, inspired Ross to organize the conference Global Diet and Sustainability at The New School in Fall 2012. 

Capstone Project in International Affairs: Ross joined a small research group of peers to produce a white paper on the use of Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) in natural disaster response and mitigation for United Nations Global Alliance for ICT in Development (UN GAID)

Fieldwork Abroad: After graduating from SGPIA, Ross moved to Liberia for six months to work with the community-based organization Imani House. He also completed a 2011 summer research program in Santiago, Chile with the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean

Published Work: Ross’ writing has been published in Brighter Green, Civil Eats, The Inquisitive Eater, and Chomping Climate Change.
