Milano PhD HUB

Welcome to the homepage for the Milano Public and Urban Policy PhD Research Hub — The HUB!

The HUB is a collaborative research space with three complementary goals:

  1. To connect PUP PhD-affiliated faculty, PUP PhD students, and faculty across the New School interested in applied research on public and urban policy and global development issues.
  2. To serve as a hands-on, applied research training ground for aspiring domestic and global public and urban policy scholars and researchers.
  3. To promote rigorous research culture among PUP PhD students and the Milano community at large.

The HUB will provide resources for identifying and applying to funding opportunities, ultimately seeking to assist students in producing compelling research proposals to compete for those funds. Furthermore, the HUB will serve as a starting point for research projects from students and faculty — identifying research interests and synergies at the University that are associated with the goals and focus areas of various grants or RFPs, and providing administrative and intellectual infrastructure to lift proposals off the ground.
