The Tishman Environment and Design Center (TEDC) is teaming up with New School Buildings Sustainable Initiatives to host the #ClimateCitizen Hackathon.

Sustainability is a core value at The New School. Driven by its mission to confront real-world problems through bold and creative solutions, The New School is tackling the global climate crisis head on.

The New School’s Climate Action Plan will guide the efforts of the university to reduce the university’s greenhouse gas emissions and become the model for designing scalable and transferable solutions to create a better, more resilient and more equitable future. The Climate Action Plan will address operations, academics, and campus culture to establish a comprehensive strategy to act on climate.

This is your chance to contribute to the plan. This is a great opportunity to receive input from students and other members of The New School. The Hackathon is only open to New School students, faculty and staff.

Bring your creativity, problem solving skills, and academic expertise to help us advance ideas and solutions that will lead to increased awareness and participation in campus-wide climate action!

Food and drinks will be provided. Prizes will be awarded.
