President Nestor Kirchner (PNK) Spring 2016 awardees Monica Salmon Gomez (Mexico) and Laneydi Martinez (Cuba) present their respective research as well as the advances they made during their two-week stay in New York.

Monica Salmon Gomez, from University of Guadalajara, Mexico will be presenting on her topic titled Transnational Advocacy Networks on Migrants in Transit through Mexico: Human Rights.

Laneydi Martinez, from the Center of Hemispheric and US Studies of La Habana, Cuba will present her research titled Latin America and the Caribbean and US in a New International Economic Context: Changes in Transmission of Economic Shocks.

The PNK Public Lecture is an opportunity to engage with Latin American and Caribbean issues as presented by young Latin American leaders, and to hear and debate the solutions that they propose in particular topics.

The PNK Public Lecture series is the culmination of the President Nestor Kirchner (PNK) Fellowship aimed at young professionals that have an outstanding record in both the academia and public sector.
