On March 18, The New School hosted a program of the Urban Green Council’s Emerging Professionals (EP) Committee. Urban Green is the New York City chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council—the originator and administrator of the LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) green building certification program and sustainability professional accreditation system. A panel of architects and engineers addressed the topic, “Design Competitions: The Sustainability Influence.” Environmental Policy and Sustainability Management Associate Professor John Clinton served as moderator. The New School will continue to host monthly EP meetings, which provide young professionals working in sustainability relevant programs and professional accreditation credits.
