What should the next system look like — and how can we get there?
Growing inequality, climate disruption, mass incarceration, perpetual warfare and too many other crises to name have woken us up: the current system doesn’t work for the vast majority of us, and we need to work toward something else.
This March, join hundreds of fellow New Yorkers as we vision together, share work & ideas, and build connections that serve us as we work towards a “Next System.”
On March 10th, we’ll kick off two days of workshops, panels, visioning and more about the “next system” with an opening plenary that explores the question: if our current system doesn’t work — what comes next? And how can we get there?
Panelists:
Gar Alperovitz, The Next System Project
Deyanira Del Rio, New Economy Project
Autumn Marie, Black Lives Matter NYC
Frances Fox Piven, CUNY Grad Center
